Chaka Salt Lake is located in Chaka Town, Ulan County, Haixi Mongolian and Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture in Northwest China’s Qinghai Province, in the northeastern part of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. With an average altitude of 3,059 meters, the lake covers an area of 105 square kilometers, while the scenic area spans nearly 30 square kilometers. The lake’s surface has a remarkable reflective quality, resembling a mirror, which has earned it the nickname "mirror of the sky" in China among tourists.
