The U.S. Department of Commerce recently released a guidance that, under the pretext of so-called presumed violations of U.S. export control rules, attempts to impose a global ban on advanced Chinese computing chips, including specific Huawei Ascend chips.
Yet the true motive is plain to see. To maintain its competitive edge and dominant position, the U.S. is deliberately restricting and suppressing the legitimate rights and interests of foreign companies.
This attempt to block Chinese computing chips from the global market is an example of unilateral bullying and protectionism that seriously disrupts the international semiconductor industry and supply chains.
The U.S. should immediately reverse this practice, comply with international economic and trade regulations, and respect the legitimate rights of other countries to pursue scientific and technological development.
